Guidelines for returns and complaints regarding edible products.

Return, Withdrawal, and Complaint Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

We want you to be completely satisfied with your gourmet food gifts and products from Delikatematgaver. As our products primarily consist of food items, confectionery, fresh produce, and assembled gift baskets, specific rules apply to returns and the right of withdrawal in accordance with Norwegian law.

1. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal (Gift Baskets and Edible Products)

The Norwegian Consumer Rights Act (Angrerettloven) generally applies to online purchases, but it makes explicit exceptions for goods that deteriorate quickly, have a limited shelf life, or where the seal has been broken on goods that cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons.

  • There is no right of withdrawal for our gourmet food gifts, chocolate gifts, fruit baskets, or flowers.

  • If a non-food product (e.g., perfume or accessory) is included as part of an assembled gift basket, the entire gift basket is exempt from the right of withdrawal.

  • Gift baskets cannot be opened, disassembled, or partially returned.

2. Complaints for Damage or Defects

If a gift basket or a delivery is damaged during transit, or does not match your order, you have full right to complain.

  • Report within the deadline: In case of defects or transit damage, you must contact us within 5 business days of receipt.

  • Documentation: Send an email with a description of the defect and photos of the damaged product or delivery to salg@delikatematgaver.no.

  • Upon approved complaint, we will either send a new item free of charge or refund the amount.
